The Makoro 1250L Septic Tank provides a compact and reliable wastewater treatment solution for residential properties, small households, remote sanitation systems, and off-grid applications. With a storage capacity of 1250 litres, this septic tank is designed to retain wastewater long enough for solids to settle and form sludge, providing effective preliminary treatment before effluent proceeds to the next stage of the sanitation system.

Designed for households of approximately 2–4 people, the tank measures 1330 mm in overall height, with an effective height of 1100 mm and a diameter of 1300 mm. A 420 mm screw-on lid provides secure access for inspection and maintenance, while completed fittings simplify installation and connection on site. The tank is also compatible with Makoro septic extensions, allowing easy adjustment of access height where required.

Manufactured from high-quality LLDPE using 100% virgin material, the Makoro 1250L Septic Tank features excellent impact strength, consistent wall thickness, UV protection, and an antibacterial inner surface designed specifically for sewage applications. With wall thicknesses ranging from 8–13 mm and a total tank weight of 35 kg, the tank delivers dependable long-term performance while remaining easy to transport, handle, and install.

Finished in black to minimise light penetration and support optimal septic system operation, this tank is engineered to withstand harsh Southern African conditions while maintaining structural integrity and watertight performance. The tank must be installed in conjunction with an appropriate effluent treatment or soakaway system and should be inspected and maintained periodically to ensure effective wastewater treatment and environmental protection.
