On-Site Clay Supply
Makoro operates its own clay mine, supplying all the clay used in our bricks. With expert oversight and full integration, we ensure consistent quality and efficient supply from extraction through to the final product.
Packing Robot System
Makoro’s high-capacity packing robots stack bricks with millimetre precision, reducing damage and improving pallet uniformity. This boosts packing efficiency and ensures safer operations on the factory floor.
Grooving Cutting System
Our automated system uses tensioned wires and grooving wheels to cut bricks with sharp precision. The result is clean edges, consistent sizing, and better mortar grip for building strength and structural bonding.
Clay Extrusion Process
Makoro’s extrusion system ensures dense, uniform clay output with strict control over speed and moisture — laying the foundation for consistently high-quality bricks used across Southern Africa and beyond.
Precision Tunnel Kiln
Bricks are fired above 1000°C in our tunnel kilns, emerging with optimal strength and clean edges. Controlled heating ensures structural integrity and long-term durability with every single batch of bricks.
Automated Final Packaging
Robotic arms stack fired bricks at high speed and accuracy, reducing damage and ensuring strong pallet stability. It’s the final step in Makoro’s seamless, future-ready manufacturing pipeline.
